Heya,

Sorry I'm not in a good place right now, so I'l just copy and paste what I've said to people before:

Ok,

I have nightmare problems too. The thing is, if you stay awake, your body then does twice the REM sleep when you do go to sleep, which produces more nightmares.

What I suggest is nightmare rehearsal. Are you having the same dream or or themes in your dreams? Basically, write or draw out the dream in as much detail as possible. Go over it several times. Then rewrite it and change it so that it's not scary, either by making yourself super powerful, making the villain silly, or having something funny happen. We could go through what you could change it to here, if you have trouble. For instance, say you have a dream where a death eater stabs you with a sword (I have Harry Potter on the brain, sorry). Change it so he stabs you with a rubber duck (apart from that a death eater would have a wand not a sword anyway). Rewrite this new dream really carefully and go over it forabotu 20 minutes during the day, especially just before you go to sleep.

Take care,

Roby.
