Do not, ever ever, go for a med just because of it's weight gain or loss.
NO NO NO! Meds are to help the mental mind. A med may cause you to gain weight, but that weight -can- be avoided by simple exercise - No, you don't need to go hyper with exercise, just normal walking / jogging / etc.
Meds are to help the mind. Not the body! If the mind is bad, the body will never improve. Help the mind, and the body will follow suit.
