It's a difficult one because it could be argued that as you were obviously in physical distress, you could've got the bruises yourself & the staff were trying to contain you from harming yourself further. I'm not saying in any way that is what will happen, but I'm thinking of what could be said if you complained to anyone.
Restraint should not cause physical harm & it has to be carried out by people who are properly trained. It shouldn't be leaving marks.
This is a tricky one.
Do you have access to an advocate in your unit? This could be something you could discuss with them.
