I experience this too. The images are in my head, not hallucinations, but feel very real when then are happening, often accompanied by bodily sensations, strong emotions. I often see a little girl, people in cloaks/maks, tunnels, a weird Minotaur thing, dolls, corpses and other things. I tend to get quite scared by them, but not sure what causes them. I'm quite artistic and tend to relate to things visually so maybe that's something to do with it. I talked to my psychologist once and she suggested that, she said she'd be more likely to hear voices as she's a talker.
Do talk to your therapist, it might be some kind of unconscious feeling breaking through. I don't think she will think you're crazy.
