I am currently:

I have gotten taxi's to a and e for various reasons on countless occasions.

Most taxi drivers say nothing, some ask [****ing nosey if you ask me] why I am going and I have been asked about shifts and work before [they've assumed I am finishing or starting a shift].

They really don't care unless you are visibly drunk/drugged or throwing up.

I have lied before now just to avoid the questions/truth and when one driver said 'long shift' [I looked so tired] I just said yes.

We keep £20 on the shelf for these instances so I can get to hospital to visit or we can get to A and E without having to divert via the cash machine. I suggest you do the same if there is no other reliable means of transport.
