Surely the petrol needed to drive around looking for this would cost more than just buying cheap cuts of meat from a butcher or a supermarket? Or if they are that tight they should cut meat out of their diet either entirely or at least severely limit it.
I never saw the programme, but I saw a trailer and, yes, these people were taking things too far in the search for a few pennies saved.
