Don't worry about it, I just wanted to make it clear to everyone. Really even if the injury is SH related or the OD is on purpose (rather than genuinely forgetting to take your meds and taking more) they should by law treat you the same as any other patient. However, it may be you got a doctor/ nurse who doesn't feel that way/ you caught them at a stressful time/ whatever. Really in the future would it be possible to go to a different A&E; it depends how many you have close to you really as some places have an A&E thats not that close but doable and the next one is a long way off where other places may be in a built up area and there may be several A&Es (especially if they are in a small town and several big towns/ a city are close by) which are around the same distance away.
If you are in an ambulance, with it and not in a really critical state or one which may turn that way you may be able to ask if you could go to x hospital rather than y. It may just be that they will do that but it may depend on several things like the ambulance station almost only going to x hospital for most cases and then use a different one say if you need a specialist service such as a burns unit if it isn't that much further to get to one.
