Hi there,
I'm sorry you are struggling right now and I'm glad that you have been open adn honest about how you're feeling and what you are struggling with. This is really positive for you to get the help you need.
Personally, it took me a while to find an anti-depressant that worked for me, and it was a case of trial and error as to what would work best.
You say you believe that citalopram helped you but you suffered a major relapse, did something cause this relapse? were you under a lot of stress at the time or had some bad news? Anti-depressants are good at helping raise your moods so that you can work on your issues and feel better, but they do not necesarily "stop" depression and if you had a stressful or hard time than they aren't going to necesarily stop your emotional reaction to that.
Anyway, I think perhaps you should discuss your options with your doctor, and go from there.
I hope all goes well, take care
