Self diagnosing is a very dangerous thing to do, your friends are actually (unconciously I'm sure) having a detrimental effect on your recovery from this. If they speak about "what might be wrong" just tell them that you are going to wait and see what the doctor says.
The reason I say this is because you may begin to pigeon-hole yourself into a diagnosis that you do not have. Over-analysing some symptoms and ignoring others to fit yourself into the label you have read about. A diagnosis of any mental health problem takes time, it takes years of training to understand the depths of these problems. I know you can find a lot (or what seems to be a lot) of information about these different diagnosis online, but the information you find is subjective and gives little indication of what it is actually like to have these problems.
It's very brave of you to take this step. Be honest, be open and remember that you have control over your care. If you feel you are not ready to do something, air your concerns and talk through them with your doctor.
Try not to worry yourself with the what if's of a diagnosis. A diagnosis is really only there to help profesionals give you the right support, it is nothing more than that. It does not define you as a person nor does it mean you need to be treated any differently.
I hope your appointment goes well, take care
