Smoking kills?

Edit: Excuse my sarcasm. I'm just upset because I know the risks of cancer, and not being able to breathe is one of my biggest fears. As an educated woman I know that it would be awful to die from lung cancer but don't feel I need to visit a lung cancer ward to cement this understanding, in the same way as, in my personal opinion, children don't need to visit Auschwitz (etc.) to really feel and be affected by what happened during the Holocaust. (Just to confirm, I am not comparing smoking, which is a choice, to the Holocaust).

I choose to smoke, and at this time, it would not be helpful for me to give up. However, that does not mean I will never give up.
