Hi DJR- From a quick search there is a type of closed eye hallucination, but the fact that you are seeing a face may be your brain "creatively interpreting" a random pattern. Therefore it does seem worthwhile to discuss it with your therapist.

The conversation might go: "Do you remember when you asked me if I suffered from hallucinations? What do you mean by 'hallucinations'? Can you see hallucinations when your eyes ar closed? Because.........(then give your experience(s)."

It doens't have to mean immediate medication. If it is something that you are used to and doesn't cause you much distress- your discussions with your doctor should clarify how to treat it. But if it does distress you, more of a reason to talk about it. You don't have to tell your doctor everything at each visit, but appreciate that the more information they have, the more helpful it is in diagnosising and treatmenting you correctly.

It’s time to lead the third revolution, which is not to say we want to be at the top of the world, but to say we want to change the world. Because the way the world has been designed by men is not working. It’s not working for women, it’s not working for men,
it’s not working for polar bears
