What is the point of school reunions?
Is it a display of how far along you have gone in the rat race? Oh yeah, I could say, "hey, I have been depressed and haven't achieved anything worth mentioning, how about you?" Then, I am left to feel like a failure at life.
Can school reunions be something worth attending? Don't people go to these things, to see how far people have gone in their life? Are you married? do you have children? what job do you have or career are you in? It makes me wonder if school reunions are all about who have suceeded in life.
What are people's thoughts on this?
That's how I view them. I wasn't bullied or anything and got along with all kinds of groups of people, but I still wouldn't go. Despite that, I still felt alienated and I hated high school. My 5 year already passed, and at that point, I was still aware of what quite a few people were up to......My 10 year is coming up in 2013, and I still think it will be dumb to go. I never had school spirit, so why start now? lol Plus, my whole theory is: If these people REALLY wanted to know what I was doing, they would make the effort to call me and ask.
Also, 99.9% of my friends were a year or 2 ahead of me, so.......Yeah. Kinda pointless. It seems like the people that plan these sorts of things are always the popular types anyways.....*rolls eyes*
