I think there would inevitably be a lot of comparing what people have done with their lives, because what else could you talk about?
I didn't go to my 10 year reunion (I was conveniently out of the country) but didn't feel any desire to go as I still hold quite a bit of resentment to the people who made my life miserable back then. But some of my friends who did go said it was a brilliant evening so maybe it would've been okay.
But a few years ago my Dad went to his 35th year reunion and I remember him saying it was much more enjoyable because, I guess being that much older, people didn't seem self-conscious about the state of their lives. (Wasn't there a thread on here a while ago about caring less about what other people think as you get older?)
I think unless you're likely to get upset by it (like if you were really badly bullied) then it probably wouldn't be as bad as you imagined.
