you promised that you would try not to cut. you tried not to cut. so you haven't broken your promise and don't need to feel ashamed or guilty.

it isn't your fault if you didn't hear the gate. and its likely that your sister would agree with that when she isnt so upset herself and definatley wouldn't want to cause you to feel guilty.

8 days is alot when you're going through a rough and stressful patch.
