Like Stellata said, for many people who are severely bullied (it's the main reason why I started SI'ing), I think actually going to a school reunion will be counterproductive. Like it or not, some people never grow out of being jerks, and they will be there. If you cant work due to health reasons, or dont have a decent car, then there will be people who will put you down. Even if you were not the target of bullying, then some bitchy comments will come out. If it is not you who is the target of the comments, it will be someone, for example the single mother with the multiple kids. You have to be quite strong, especially if there is no partner.

Of course, it could go alright, but could you cope with the talk of school? School memories? If it is held in the school, could you cope with going into the building?

For many people who had a wonderful time, and good memories, then of course it may be worthwhile going. But for those that have less than happy memories, then it may drive them to SI.

Of course, ultimately it is up to you whether you go or not, but I am just giving my opinion. I would hate for someone who go to a school union, be so hurt that they end up SIing.
