It is not only a gateway drug but it masks reality and doesn't assist you in either living your life, coping appropriately or truly feeling better/ good. It is a delusion and and escape but makes reality that much harder and in the end only hurts you and those you love worse.
Hey there. Sorry, maybe I wasn't all that clear in my initial thread but I really, really almost never use cannabis. It's the one thing I'm really good at saying no to, exactly because of the problems it causes me, which just aren't fun for anyone around. I've never been much of a smoker. Have had issues w/ alcohol, and also realise the danger of substituting one thing for another which is even more reason that I avoid smoking. I used to have the occasional puff socially and it's only recently that it's caused any problems- and that is with smoking less than 5 times a year, so believe me I wouldn't want to see the damage I could do myself if I smoked any more than that. It really isn't a problem for me- I just don't do it.

Also, have found it makes me have weird thoughts that almost feel like memories- and if that's going to happen to me, I'd rather it happened on my own terms.

Really just posted to see if anyone else had experienced things like that, as it doesn't happen to anybody else I know so I wondered if it was related to mental health problems (which in retrospect seems a little obvious!)

Xx
