This still makes me end up in tears. I didn't know anyone who died in it but I went to school with people who lost family in the attacks. I think it was a more emotional loss because of the circumstances than another way would have been. Even just knowing people who lost someone in the attacks makes it seem so much more personal. Even the fact it was across the country worried me because California has some pretty big cities with huge buildings that would have probably been ideal for such an attack.

I had just woke up to get ready for school and turned on the TV to see the time. The second I turned on my TV the second tower was being hit by a plane and the first was burning. My only reaction was to turn up the volume and sit there in shock. I had no clue where it was at, could've been LA for all I knew, taking place in my own state.

All but one of my classes had us watching the news that day in school. One of our classes didn't do anything, at all, except sit there as close to the TV as possible. My teachers were sitting around crying.

It's so weird to think it's been six years since the attacks.
