Last year I was in this situation, but they allowed me to go on a short leave to be at home over Christmas. I just had to have my mom sign a bunch of things taking responsibility for me. They would also call me each day to see how I was doing, and I could call them anytime for support or if I wanted to go back.

Also, I love MissA's idea. My friends and I in the hosptial did that for Halloween and Thanksgiving, and a bit for Christmas too. Our rooms ended up looking so cute, and it made it a little more Christmas spirited and fun.
