True, winter makes it more tempting that way. There's also the fact that the eternal darkness (wow, melodramatic much?!) tends to affect moods a lot. Now I haven't tried this, but people say that tanning in winter - once in a while, not too often - really helps to feel less depressed and tired. It's the nice sunlight effect.
A few other things to consider regarding SI:
- People won't see now, but the scars will still be there next summer. You're delaying that uncomfortable conversation - you're not avoiding it.
- It would be really awkward if people DID find out
So, things like tanning, or joining a gym, sound really good. What about swimming? That's always my plan for winter as that extra incentive not to do anything.
