That'd be a shame. Obviously there are privacy risks currently, and I know that people do feel quite uncomfortable about it - but I have heard of stories of people who didn't even register for the site, but found some brilliant advice through reading posts - and I'm almost certain that it's a pretty big disincentive for welcoming new people.
But it would make people more comfortable, which is good.
