I am already seriously considering locking down guest access more on v4.
Lurkers are a big part of RYL, as are people who have found us through searches. However, lurkers can always join but not post if they choose - and one could argue that trolls and unsavory members are more likely found through random google searches than they would be through other means.
I'd rather shift things to take more care of our existing members than worry about new ones.
In the mean time, there are private member only forums, you can have a private journal and if ever outed, you can change the name on every post you've made to something else.
