Sorry that you're feeling so bad about yourself :(.
A note of caution though. which might help you to save your money, I have tried diet pills twice and I put weight ON both times! (Maybe I just buy lameee ones). As for that lady, I'm no expert, but maybe drinking all that water helped to flush out her system and stop water retention... I dunno. From all the experiments I've heard about, diet pills only ever make a difference of about 2lb over 6 weeks if they do 'work' anyway.
Any GP or dietician should be able to provide you with a healthy eating plans. And some gyms combine them with exercise too. As other people have said, the best way to lose weight, if you need to, is through a mixture of healhy eating and exercise, but I'm sure you know that already.
