The same could be said about any fantasy type thing though. That's where it becomes a parents responsibility to explain to children that it's fiction. It's like... Home and Away. It's a terrible example of life. But lots of kids think it's real. It's their parents responsibility to explain to them it's fake. I think when people start putting real values on a fictional stories they legitimise the people who think it's real. It is okay to have an opinion on something. But when you try and force an opinion down someones throat or make them feel bad for their own opinion? That's when it's not okay.
Also, there are a few different vampire series where the vampires survive on animal blood.
