I'm pretty sure the woman you spoke with on the phone was mistaken. High T3 readings can mean a number of things but it doesnt reflect your diet.
If you're on birth control or are pregnant this would have boosted your T3 levels. The fact that your GP didn't call you personally more than likely means they aren't overly concerned with the elevation.

I know you know the "right" thing to do, so telling you to do it probably won't be of much help to you. But eating keeps us alive, so maybe you could try to think of something else to help you control the emotions you are having. Maybe writing or drawing.
