I tried, but it only made it worse. Even with all of my lights on, when I shut my eyes it is too dark and I freak out. I don't even want to blink right now. I thought I saw something when I woke at 3:40 this morning, but when I turned my light on it was not there, I turned it off and it was. So the light went back on and I have been awake since. Its getting close to 8 now and I still have not moved since I saw what ever it was. (my computer stays on my bed with me).
