Recovery isn't going to make her perfect and it's not that easy. That was kind of rude to say.
I do think that she should try to talk more about the reasons that she doesn't want to recover, because people will be able to help more. But being rude about it certainly isn't going to help. Telling her how she's feeling isn't a big deal..that's just unnecessary.
There's a fine line between being blunt and truthful and just being rude.
