I did the supply teaching for 6 years. For my pains. It was a matter of financial survival, unfortunately.
Going into potentially unsafe areas most days, usually being treated badly by children and staff alike.
I sometimes wish that my 'worst' job had been so simply because it was boring or tedious!
Sometimes I whinge now about how tedious sticking RFID tags on endless piles of books is. But I know that I'm lucky.
