You still have some classic performers like Dame Judy who still refer to themselves as Actress.
but the rest of Hollywood seems to think its offensive to use actress, like it demeans the woman's hard work in the role.

I don't get it myself. the name was fine for the last 300 years of performing arts.
but if they want to be called something different they can go ahead and do that.
