The actual job of anti ps is especially for schziophrenics is to curb the amount of dopamine being produced or stop the receptors in the brain receiving domapine.I know this is most likely with szchios but also with psychosis .This is the chemical reason for anti psychotics .This is why they are prescribed .Look it up on google ,it will tell you all about each med.
