With the school counsellor, your best bet is to go and see them and explain that you would like to make an appointment to speak to them properly. You can give them a brief run down, or print out of this page if that helps.

It is also a good idea to make an appointment with your gp. I know that is scary, but you can do the same thing and take along any notes or print outs that may help should you find it hard to talk. Childline is good for phoning, but you can also write to their address and they are pretty good at writing back (albeit slower than a phone call).

The most important thing is to know you are not alone in this. It is a good thing you have started this thread, for example. As it means you recognise that there is a need for support there and have begun to reach out for it.

You can get through this, so hang in there and keep talking to us. It is what we are here for.
