soz, i don't know about mha in northern ireland, but the s117 really only affects the health pro's, not us!
if you are on one, then when they come to looking at discharging you, they will discuss with you whether they get rid of the 117. i think, they can discharge you, and you just meet with your gp to cover the 117.
