Well really now because of the length of time the options are running out.

You need to get it looked at really and because of it's position and the fact that they wanted to get it stitched at first then they MAY do that but it depends because the time is a problem as it makes wounds more likely to become infected and break-down the longer you leave them before you stitch them and the last thing you want is to stitch in an infection.

If the steri-strips + glue did not work then just you steri-stripping them won't. But, if you go back they can also clean it up and bandage it in a way where it is more likely to heal too which is hard/ impossible for you to do alone at home almost all the time.

There is also a chance that they may close them with staples too but we can't really say as we've not dealt with it so you are better to go back and get it checked out.
