Having to explain to your kids/partner in years to come. Self-harm closes you off from people so you can never expect to be incredibly close to your friends while you do it. It stops you swimming, you are constantly on your guard about getting caught. Self-harm spirals, soon cutting won't be enough and you will increase severity and methods and you will get found out. It might be difficult to concentrate on uni work.
