I have heard of this problem in reference to school counselors but I haven't had it myself. However I have had multiple therapists (one at a time of course) for various reasons and in some cases didn't last long, one was two months like you mentioned.

While I think it's not an ideal situation to have to switch therapists often, I don't regret it at all because the things I brought out with them, we're easier to bring out again when I moved on to the next therapist. On the other hand I know it can feel like starting over which is the downside.

It's a personal call really. Maybe focusing on only the most pressing issues would be useful for a 2month thing like day to day problems not so much past issues. Either way though, I'd definitely look into other options either way. Maybe you can find a better service in less than the two months and switch over.

I think you have to be aware of your level of urgency in seeing someone to make this decision. If you need to see someone in the meantime while you find a more better place for counseling I don't think it's a bad idea but again, that's just me, it's your call.
