Compulsive Over Eating / Binge Eating that Aimee posted? There are some really good tips there about avoiding overeating, so I'd suggest working through those and seeing if it helps. I eat a lot of 'bad' stuff, especially when I'm feeling awful, and the things that I find help are sorting out a meal plan [but NOT one that I have to stick to rigidly] with healthy things that taste good, and not cutting out everything unhealthy. So I'm sort of learning to enjoy eating well. And finding something to do to distract myself, something that I enjoy and I can't do at the same time as binging - exercise, and I'm learning to make jewellery, which is rather fun. I also find that not keeping 'binge food' in the house helps. But that may just be because it's a long walk to the shop and I'm lazy =P
But
most importantly. If you're eating because you're feeling low, then that's what you need to focus on. Why are you feeling so low lately, and what do you think would help? I also find that when I'm having a really horrible time, trying to beat
anything, whether it be self-harm, overeating, whatever, is damn near pointless. I just won't have the motivation to do it. So working on your mood is the best start. Talk to someone? Do things that usually cheer you up? Eh, sorry for going on, but I hope you're doing okay. We're here for you; maybe posting in the ED board would help, and give you a wider range of replies (even if it's only lately, it's always good to catch it before it becomes too much of a problem). Take care of yourself, yeah? Oh, and keep posting in here if you want to, it's fun =] x
