I completely agree - our last dog still had his tail and it was a nightmare (he was a big dog!!)

Docking has been banned in the UK unless it is done by a vet and for the wellbeing of the dog. However a lot of it still goes on illegally - we got our dog from rescue kennels and her tail had been 'DIY' docked.
