DO NOT PUT MEDICATION IN YOUR CHECKED LUGGAGE!!! Absolutely carry all of it with you, not just what you'll need on the flight. You should never check anything that you can't do without if they lose your luggage, and prescription medications absolutely fall into that category.
You shouldn't have any trouble carrying it with you. It's perfectly legal to bring any and all medications across international borders provided that the substance is legal in both countries (mainly only an issue for medical marijuana), it's in quantities that are appropriate for personal use, and not suggestive of intent to sell it (30 pills each of two different doses is definitely fine -- it's only if you had a suitcase full of it or something), and if it requires a prescription in the country you're entering, you have the appropriate prescription (although they're unlikely to check unless you have a suspiciously large quantity).
And Mirtazapine is barely even a controlled substance -- it's not a drug of abuse or anything, and the prescription requirement is mainly just cause determining doses and such need medical supervision rather than because people would take it recreationally or whatever -- so they're not going to worry about it much anyway. But even with Schedule II substances it wouldn't be a problem -- I've traveled internationally with Ritalin, Concerta, two forms of Xanax, and Lexapro, and I never had a problem, even when three of the five were in a daily pill sorter and I didn't even had the bottles (and associated prescription info) with me. The only time I've had security or customs or anyone even look at any of my meds was when I had prescription cough syrup, and that was only at security because it was a liquid (you're allowed to carry liquid medications in any quantity, but security has to inspect them).
