I am currently:

[crazy]girl - I'm glad if your question was answered ;) The rest of the thread, I think, is not all aimed at you. It becomes obvious time and time again that debates on RYL tend to run away from the original question ;)

MeaCulpa - I think the two are related, but not identical. Tips on how to purge so that no one will notice is covering up an act of the ED itself - covering up harmful behaviour, as it is, and thus I'd place it right next to "tips on where to cut to avoid anyone noticing". Tips on covering scars is similar, but it hides the result of that harmful behaviour - not quite the same, I think? I'm not explaining well what I have in mind. But like.. covering scars may be necessary years after they were done in the first place, and for a number of reasons apart from having people in your life find out.
(For example - my friends and family know I used to cut, and I don't hide at all. But I'll have to go job hunting soon and then I'm definitely going to cover up scars.)

I'm a bit conflicted on that kind of advice, too, though. It would probably be better for people to seek help in real life instead of getting tips on how to avoid that on here - but then again, as I said, I can see quite a few reasons as to why it would be necessary.

Face your life
Its pain, its pleasure
Leave no path untaken
