You should beable to say "I've cut in X area, i feel like a freak" and have people say they cut there too
As far as I'm aware, as long as its not 'I cut here its close to veins/easier to hide/whatever' then you can. Maybe i've mis-interpreated the rules.

But yes, Jo and liv make very good reminders. RYL is NOT supposed to be real life in any way, shape or form (its a website, how can it be?). It is also not a half way house, between mental illness and 'real life'. its jsut supposed to be somewhere safe.

And no one has yet answered my question. If the rule 'well we can go elsewhere to trigger ourself' was apllied, we woudl have to allow methods of suicide, thinspiration etc. Now, is that really a good idea on a self harm RECOVERY website?

i think pictures with scars in, whilst they can be triggering, are allowed becuase RYL is supposed to be a place where you can be yourself, warts and all. For some people, its the ONLY place they would ever be able to show their scars and not think of themselves in a self concious way. It's nto that people shoudl go out of their way to show there scars in a photograph, jus tthat it doenst matter if they do. I explained that really badly :/
