People with eating disorders dont tend to gain on meds apparently because they are so terrified about gaining they are very diet/exercise conscious therefore cancel out any potential side effects of gain. Effexor (venlafaxine) has been a life safer for me, but ive now hit the highest dose theyl put me on...so im kind of in the same boat. But they are trying a mood stabiliser now too for bipolar and hopefully lessening the severityof depressive episodes. and manic ones i guess...
I wason mirtazipine but not for long because it made me so drowsy. no appetite issues, but then i was hardly on it long enough. x
