I'm not functioning too well right now, so I probably won't even answer your question but please bear with me (is that how you spell it? as I can just imagine someone dancing with a bear?!):
My older brother is bipolar, he used to SI but has got over it (well he's still bipolar but doesnt SI).
I have loads of friends who used to cut, they don't have any mental illnesses, but perhaps histrionic personality disorder, but it's nasty to diagnose my friends *shuts up*, it was just considered the "trendy" thing to do.
So yeah, please excuse my babbling.
