The banging is secondary. You have been upset and have a lot of suppressed rage. If you struggle with the banging you'll be struggling with surface symptoms and will probably just frustrate yourself and make them worse. If you can modify your anger to problems then you wont have a lot of suppressed stuff to try to cope with using banging etc. I know you have a lot to be upset about but as natural as it seems to be upset it just makes things worse. That doesn't mean you want to suppress the anger. Sometimes talking honestly with people about your feelings (even if it offends them) is better than trying to bury it - just to have come blasting out anyway.
