I am currently:
(Meds Question) Melatonin

Right, I'll get straight to the point:
I'm off to the GP in the next few days and, amongst other queries, I need to ask for something to help me sleep.
I'm not wanting to try benzos due to the addictive nature of them, and have tried zopiclone in the past but I don't like the side effects I get from it. So I'm thinking of asking for melatonin, since it's naturally produced in the brain anyway.
But I have been told in the past that it's considerably more expensive than other drugs which is why it's not used as much as the other options to help with insomnia.
So, do you think my GP would be more reluctant to prescribe melatonin simply because it's more expensive for the NHS?
(Sorry, I'm quite a rambler!)
Thanks :) xx
