And as for our gas meter, it's a 'pay as you go' type thing, and a certain amount of the money that goes into it is taken by the gas company to pay off out debts, and the rest of it goes into actually heating the house. It's run out, so we have no gas. Freezing cold house. No money 'til Tuesday.

A friend kindly gave my housemate £10 for it this afternoon, about midday-ish, which she put on the meter, and it ran out this bloody night. x_o
