I don't know where in the US you live but social services in NY offers very cheap psychiatrists and therapists. To be honest they aren't very good but they're better than nothing. And the cost is less than the cost of most copays. Maybe you have something similar in your state.
I am in a similar situation right now. I had to drop out of college after my suicide attempt over the summer and starting in January I am not covered on my mom's (very reasonable) insurance program through her work.
My job doesn't offer me insurance and not having health insurance in the condition I'm in isn't an option. I'm not eligible for my state insurance so I'm going to be paying over $300/month on health insurance starting in Jan. I'm lucky I live at home because that's most of my paycheck.
