Totally against having an abortion if the child is going to be disabled. That is just not a good enough reason. The chances are you'll find out quite late on and it won't be for certain anyway. I know a disabled child is hard work (my little cousin has severe autism and know someone with MS) but it can be just as rewarding, if not more so, than a perfectly healthy child.

What are your opinions on those who know they are carrying genetic diseases and so opt for IVF and only implant foetuses that don't have the disease?
No, no, no! This is something that irritates me beyond all comprehension. There is no guarantee that the child will have the disease for a start. It also just smacks of the world wanting to have perfect people and have all disease eradicated. There is a place in the world for disease and disability and we should just learn to accept that.
