It amuses me that the people defending BPD sufferers occasional actual need to be in hospital are those who suffer from it and the people who are stating BPD patients 'want to be in hospital' and have a choice in the matter have different diagnoses.
I wonder how people with PD's, especially BPD will ever stop being stigmatised if even other M/I sufferers can't fully understand the problems associated with BPD and the different types of treatment required in different circumstances.
