Don't feel bad about it -- the government clearly thought you deserve the money or they wouldn't have given it to you. If you're living with your parents, maybe you could give them the DLA money to help cover your expenses living with them? Just because you personally aren't paying the bills doesn't mean you don't actually have any expenses. I'm assuming that if you weren't ill, you'd be living independently, and your parents wouldn't still be supporting you? The idea of DLA would be that the government is supporting you, rather than your parents, so even if you're living with your parents, the DLA money could still cover your expenses for them...
