I'm not against isolation for certain circumstances, but I think the black out type effect has pushed it too far.

There have been cases, a fair few too many really- where children are put into isolation for petty things which should have been dealt with in better ways, it's easier though for a teacher to put a child in isolation than to sort the real problem..
Is forgetting you book a just cause to be shoved straight in there? When other methods would probably be much for effective.
