Can you medically be 'disturbed'

Ok, I've heard other people when I was in hospital be called 'disturbed'. "Such and such is very disturbed at the moment, please stay away from the low stimulus area/dorms/whatever".

But yesterday I received a letter saying I was being discharged from the eating disorders team because I was too disturbed for treatment. That therapy would not be appropiate whilst I am so 'disturbed.'

I do sort of see their point, that I had a break down a few weeks ago and was 'psychotic' but it just makes me feel a bit... meughy to be told that I'm disturbed, and also to be told that I can't have treatment. I was in that episode for about a month, but I'm coming out quite quickly now, I'm much better, I'm most likely going to be discharged from the HTT this week.

So can you be medically disturbed? What classifies you as disturbed? Have you ever been called disturbed? Did you feel a bit meughed about it?

Thanks, sorry for the long post,
